As some of you may recall I had a push-bike accident a few weeks ago resulting in the loss of my two front teeth. On Thursday I'm going to the dentist to get measured up for a plate - has anyone else got one and what are the implications? Does it affect things like eating/snogging/etc? Anyone? |

I would choose implants if I was you ,expensive but you don't want to be taking your false teeth out at night !
My mates got a front plate with 4 false teeth (after a fight )he gets on okay with it but it don't look nice when its out

They are a pain in the rear end. They need lots of attention to keeping your mouth clean or you get yeast infections under the plate and the clips act as food traps. I have two fillings that I wouldn't have had if I didn't have a plate and mine was the ultra minimal chrome-cobalt metal type.
I stopped wearing the bloody thing long since, noone sees my teeth when I smile anyway.
I asked before, did you get the guys reg. number? His insurance should be paying for you to have implants. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”
