never been pulled on the bike yet!!!

i would always stop, but (for example) if i flew past a police car going the other way and thought he might come after me, then i would nail it and get out of there - depending on circumstances.

If I think I have a chance, I'll make a quick get away where I can, but if obviously behind me, then I won't attempt it.

Im thinking the same as everyone else here, if theyve got my plate then im shagged whatever i do, my best chance is to stop and see if can work my magic and get let off with a caution. ON the other hand if hes coming the opposite way, then im gonna fuck off quicker that you can say FUZZ!.

For example i was going to work on my fav roads at about 65 ( roads a 40 ) and i went past a group of them in an unmarked car, i wasnt going to turn around at the roundabout and go chase them so they could screw me. I opened it up and got too work as quick as i could.

I have been pulled a couple of times, but only because the police wanted to know what the hell I was riding, which was mildly amusing! Laughing

Never been pulled. Experience tends to offer me a rozzer radar and I'm always on the look out for them. Always managed to slow down, I know all their haunts.

If I was in a situation and found blues on behind me I'd pull over and take the bollocking. So in 'theory' thats what I voted for to help yer poll.

I haven't been pulled on the bike yet. In the car I've been pulled 3 times, dont fancy chances in car, all have been whilst giving lifts to mates after nights out in the early hours (I dont drink all the time so I'm nominated to drive instead).

I have had a couple go the other way and put lights on while on bike, but I've fancied my chances.

The first time I did I had my 33bhp restrictors in so I nailed it for a bit away, I had seen him turning round behind me. Got through some twisties then saw a farmers track and took it n hid! he would have caught up on the straight if I didnt Smile

I've never sped past a police car going the same way as me, but I've gone past one coming towards me quite a few times at highly illegal speeds. Twist and hide hasn't failed yet.

Same, if they are behind you, your done anyway so i would and have pulled over, saying that, I was doing a fair old lick down a certain road into london, got to some traffic and filtered gently to the front, in my mirrors i see blues and twos honking horn with flights flashing obveously trying to fight through the traffic... I just went, very fast, and went straight home, wasent hanging around to see if it was for me.

And as said if passing one going the other way, put as much distance between ur selves....

I once passed a panda at a decent pace on my old TZR125, saw them and carried on regardless, as i rounded the corner i took a quick look in the mirrors to see blue lights. I killed the lights, mounted the path and went round a wall of a garden at the front of a house, it was only one mile from home. Confused

Shifty

That's the only time i've done something like that.

If you have a number plate on and they're pulling you from behind ( Laughing )

Then you're screwed anyway. The only times I would ever run is if I didn't have a number plate on, or there was no way they could trace the number plate back to me.

If I'd done something terrible I'd run, get away (hopefully), torch the bike, go home and report it stolen.

Other than that, I'll stop immediately every time and take what's coming to me, no point in making it worse.

Saw a large number of Panda cars around town (MK) early one morning (7am ish) when I was riding the Divvy down to Farnborough. Took no real notice until I was on the long, fast and straight section of the Buckingham road where I clocked flashing blues in the mirrors.

"Bugger, never been pulled over before..." I thought as I slowed from 80 ish and pulled in as the patrol car pulled along side and waved me over. I stopped, he didn't. Then I saw another few sets of lights behind me and another car came whipping past with "Security convoy" displayed on the rear LED panel and full of guys with MP5's and flak jackets. Then the prison van tore past followed by two more cars. Must've been taking someone from Woodhill to Aylesbury or Oxford Crown court...

They cleared the road nicely in frontt of me.. Smile

I've inadvertantly run from the police (years ago). I suspect as far as they were concerned I was leading them on a high speed chase. I honestly didn't know there was a police traffic car behind me until it went screaming past the end of the road I had just pulled into (to park up) like the hounds of hell were on its tail.

I initially put it down to him being on an emergency call but the exact same thing happened to my mate who I'd been riding with about three miles further on (and not two places you would pass on the way to somewhere else). It was also 3am and there was noone else on the road.

Can't say I haven't been tempted to just go for it and I might have done the last time I was pulled if I'd been another mile down the road. I reckon the supermoto would have humped the volvo along the mega twisty bit coming up but not along the straight where I was.

had the finger wagged at me, and have been followed by, and overtaken police cars at speeds I'd have thought I should have been pulled.

for example..

over twice the posted limit in one case and he just flashed me, wagged his finger and pointed at the limit signs.

on the M11 at 90 in the car, with a traffic car behind me (was dark, didn't know it was the police until I indicated to pull off at rhe next slip-road and he overtook me)

Overtaking a police car at around 80 on the A1, was funny seeing the massive queue of cars scared to overtake the police car doing 64mph Wink

So, no, can't say I do no wrong, but I've never been pulled.

I think it comes down to the kind of bike and how it's being ridden

Only ever been pulled once on the bike, as a group on the way to a rally. I think he didn't like our spirited overtaking. We pulled into a layby, he got out of his car and was just starting the lecture when a nice loud rat hooned by. The copper said "stay here" and went off in pursuit.

We stayed long enough to retrieve the drugs that had been thrown in the bushes.

this thread is interesting. Reminds me when a bike took police for an hours chase (was shown on TV) through rough fields and all with speeds upto 140mph! In the end police had to give up! They sure would have got his number plate, hence don't understand the point in chasing for an hour Confused
Anyone has any idea?

I went past a marked car on my commute, saw in rear view, him start his blues n twos and trying to turn. Still wasn't sure if it was for me, but i wasn't waiting to find out. Rush hour traffic plus some friendly lights later, i realised have lost the way i was supposed to be going on.. Had to stop to ask directions Embarassed

so has no-one else dashed into the "slip stream" of a police vehicle in pursuit of something that's not you? (Kinda off topic I know)
