You do know the Police also use the CBR1100, K1200S and the K1200RS not to mention the Helicopters, Radios and other Police Officers?

And the Pan European thats being limited to 110mph - its a Tourer not a Sportsbike.

Believe the CBR and the two beemers are just for events rather than being in active service.

Doesn't matter what class it's in. Needs to be able to do speed in order to keep up with people.

In Manchester they seem to have changed completely over to using NT650Vs ,

But there was a quote somewhere , said the Pan Euro St1100s can push up to 155mph if needs be so watch out sports bike riders and all he has to do is get a camera shot of your plate.

The Blackbirds and Beemers turn up places like force motorcycles all the time. Mostly from London they are ex-Traffic and Serious Crimes units.

Ah the man above said a the Police Officers on Sportsbikes because they'd be restricted to 110mph, I was just pointing out the Bikes they are restricting aren't sportsbikes. Smile Small but important difference.

I can't be arsed to find the article but a police rider stuck the police fireblade in a hedge in last few months.

That made me chuckle.

JAMSXR:
Do you think you 'use' enough of your bike that you would actually be riding it beyond the limits of what a Pan-Euro can do?
In the right hands, one can go pretty damn fast.

I've met a couple of bike cops who used to be club racers themselves - suspect they could shift pretty decently if they wanted.
However, I don't know how much they would be limited by regulations and guidelines on their riding.
