Paint for mirrors?

Done a search, can't really find anything on this.

Just bought these (so I can actually see behind me, rather than how lovely my shoulders are) https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v246/super_jo/mirrors.jpg
and seeing as Suzi is NOT banana yellow, they need painting!!

So what paint could I use on them? Obviously I ideally want
Arrow Cheapest
Arrow Easiest to source
Arrow Easiest to apply
Arrow Not shit-looking

The only paint I already have in my stuff cupboard is a can of matt black Sick Laughing (well, doesn't everyone?!? Shifty ) but don't know whether it'd look ok/work.

Also, will I need to prepare the surface, or do I just paint away over the yellow?

mmmm im at a loss with this myself. try the matt black with a coat of matt varnish maybe???? the varnish will protect it and give a slight shine too. probably really bad advice and am sure someone will correct me if its a bad idea. Thumbs Up

I did the matt black/laquer thing. Looked good, but just didn't stand the test of time, the laquer never fully hardened. That may have been because I used spray laquer.

yeah which is what i suggested. i would buy the matt varnish rather than the real shiny stuff though and you can use a paintbrush. i did this on an electric guitar once looked awesome.

Use halfords 'Plastic primer' too, because the mirrors will probally be ABS, also plastic primer goes on really nice (much smoother than ordinary primer/primer filler) aslong as it doesnt run.
