I took a pair of tyres 10 miles in my car to a guy who I'd phoned to fit.
When I got there he said, "Oh Ah wouldnae fit remoulds tae a bike."
Big Phannie!
It was my bike not his.
I ended up going to a shop in Hamilton which took them all f%king day to fit and when I checked them on my 'recently acquired' balance tool the front was 30 grams out.
So there you go.
Buy the levers and a balancer if you want to fit your own.
£30 to rem-refit tyres pays for the tools after a season or two.
Less hassle doing it in your own garage too.
Bike shops are Kutnz.
(Where I get my bikes is mot'd cool tho.) ____________________ W-ireless A-rtificial L-ifeform L-imited to O-bservation P-eacekeeping and E-fficient R-epair |

I've heard, they don't bother balancing tyres on a 125 anyway since mine can only get to 75mph max, well not mine, but others can.
Yeah i'm based in the city centre, I was previously quoted £25 for front and back still on the bike, but now since i didn't order tyres from them, they aren't interested.
I might be able ride there once the top end is rebuilt, but i'd rather somewhere a little closer. ____________________ Motorcycle headlight bulbs and HIDs

I found alot of companys wouldn't fit your own tyres for you if you took them down there. Stupid fucking policy if you ask me since tyres are waaayyy cheaper online! even after postage, stuck up gits. ____________________ 2012 KTM EXC 250

I got mine done in Newton Flotman, on the A140 south of Norwich. 20 quid a tyre, and they seem to know what they are doing. They did a good job on my tyres when i got them fitted a week ago.
What do you ride btw?
edit: Just read the thread properly.. Ill give them a ring tomorrow and see if they will do that for you, they are nice chaps. ____________________ Current bike - FMX650. |

We don't tend to fit other peoples tyres either unless we know the person. Or KNOW it isn't a test visit from a member of head office (I.e a boy racer).
Reason big companies don't fit other tyres is mainly if it rips while they are fitting it, Or they scratch the wheel.
They have just made alot of hassle for themselves for the sake of what. £8.50 (Which is the price of fitting the tyre)
If you were a bit more local id be happy to lend a hand with fitting some tyres. Do 30+ a day at work! A couple more isnt going to hurt. |

I've been to that place in newton flotman, I asked about a service and they told me not to bother as it'd be more expensive through them.
I did ask about tyres at the time and they said they couldn't get any for a KH125.
All i want to do is fit a rear Metzler ME77 (picked up for £16 as oppose to £30+ from M&P) to the bike, as a temp measure since the current Vee Rubber is coming apart
https://www.eastcoastlacrosse.co.uk/carl/tire.jpg
Ideally i like somewhere that does a ride in ride out, but I since the barrel will be getting rebored next week, it won't hurt to take the wheel off.
I thought it would be about £10 (wheel) £15 (ride in-out) for a single tyre, about 10mins work for a proffessonal? ____________________ Motorcycle headlight bulbs and HIDs
