 |

My CBT cert runs out at the end of April 2004, so I figured its time to stop putting off the inevitable and get my test done.
Its booked for 19th December!!! Only the 125cc test though - I can't afford a bigger bike yet anyway and besides I love the NSR. Maybe I can finally get rid of that bloody l-plate tho!
I did take the bike out down the industrial estate this morning, as the only thing I've ever been concerned about is U-turns - I had trouble with them on my CBT and I don't think I've done a u-turn from that day to this. Surprised how bloody easily I did it!
A friend of my brother in law's had a bike accident a few months ago - he was carrying one of those heavy duty bike chains over his shoulder in its carry case. He landed on his back, with the chain between him and the road. Broke 8 vertebrae and stretched his spinal cord in two places, and the docs have said there's only a slim chance he'll ever walk again. Based on that, I and a few others haven't been on the bikes as much as we used to. It scared us all off bikes for a while.
So back to the test- anyone got any tips as to what to expect etc? (I know NOT to fall off, so don't say it!) |

Could be a nice early Christmas present though, even if it is so far away! ____________________ A big enough hammer fixes anything! |

Good Luck. I have my test tomorrow Like you my CBT runs out at the end of April 2004. I am not nervous yet but I am not confident either. I passed my driving test first time last wednesday so if I fail my bike one I wont be too dissapointed. I can still ride after all and I will have a car too for the winter. If I fail I am going to do my CBT again next year then wait 2 years and do direct access.
I am also worried about the dreaded U-turns me owing an NSR of course I would be. The bloody things arent designed for doing them I tell you! Fingers crossed anyway who know the examiner might be in a good mood...
I will let you know all about it either way that way you will know what to expect when you go for yours.
