I use chain wax as i have gold did chain, but that gets really sticky and picks up all the dirt, really want to find a decent clear chain lube. ____________________ My Bike Pics |

wurth HP chain wax is the best i've used so far.
i've used putoline - too much fling and well messy. then castrol chain wax - but that was very messy, and didn't look too good on the chain.
then i tested wurth HP chain wax - that is the best so far for me. no fling at all. although it is a little on the pricy side. i don't mind the price as long as there is no fling.
all the best. ____________________ There is always someone worse off than you ! |

Engine oil for me Putoline Chain Wax wasn't too bad but I always ended up spraying everything white, and the Putoline Chain Lube managed to pick everything up and turn it into grinding paste. |

Yoshimoto gold chain wax with a full on scrub down once a month or so, my ZZR's DID got adjusted once in the time I had it this way and the chain looked superb the whole time, wierdly only the center stand seemed to suffer from fling, but then the bike was a silver/gold color so it really didn't notice anyway
I never got on well with dry lubes but then I suspect that may have been down to the rubber band masquerading as a chain that was originally on there.
I use a Scottoiler on the Futura these days and I've never looked back. Get a dual injector right off the bat though ____________________ 2010 Triumph 1050 Sprint ST |

I'd be inclined to check your bike's hand book, mine says clean and lube it every 600 miles. Personally I clean it every 600 but lube it every other day, approx 160 miles, or after riding in rain etc... ____________________ My claim to fame: Austin Vince nicked my pen... |
