Has anyone seen the rumours Superbike have picked up about Trackdays next year??

The claims are that the ACU will enforce licences on any riders wishing to use a race track....or that Insurance Companies will not cooperate with trackday organisers....

The thought also is that the prices will rise (double ??)

Can't believe the circuits or trackday organisers will be too happy...

I think there is no change required at the moment.

What do you think???

Cheers
Rob

I think more people should come to Cadwell on October 13 - BCF last trackday of the season spectacular*.

* The organisers take no responsibility if the event fails to be spectacular.

No, you need a full licence.

Jody - join the Racing Usergroup. There are at least 6 people going, maybe more (though I don't think anyone's actually *booked* it yet Rolling Eyes ). Plus we're doing Elvington the day before.

A fair few... off the top of my head people riding are G, Alex, bendy, Korn, Luke, Stoo? Zak? Dean?

Click up the top on usergroups, then select the Racing one, and then click join as there is details about it in there Smile

John, you need a full license to do trackdays Sad

There should be a fair few of us going to Cadwell (well at least 5 Smile , but quite possibly a few more booking late).

It’s £89 for the track day.
Our plan is to go up north on the Saturday, stay at Stew&M’s that night, then do a days drag racing at Elvington on the Sunday, then camp at Cadwell on Sunday night and do the track day on Monday.

I haven’t heard anything about the rumours regarding ACU licences. Hopefully I will have one next year anyway. At the moment ACU licence-days (ie practice days before races etc) tend to be a fair bit cheaper than normal track days AFAIK.
There’s also new rules coming to say that you have to go to a ‘Race school’ I believe, to get your ACU licence.

Better get lots of practice in and do my test then, though I need money and a clutch first

You can go on a provisonal licence, providing you're riding a bike appropriate to your licence.

However, no offence intended, with your riding experience at the moment, on your bike, at Cadwell park, it would be a very bad idea.
Especially if you did try to ride quickly.

Check with the company first, but generally you're allowed to ride whatever you're licenced to ride.

Cadwell is a fairly complex track, so to everyone that's going as a first track day I'd advise they take it extra cautiously until they get to know bits of the track.

Don't you have to ghet your CBT first?
And if you went on one, i'd have to go to, other wise a 125 on it own on the track is going to get beaten quite a bit by bigger bikes...

Hi

That Monday is the day after the MCN weekend at Butlins. They have an MCN trackday there (very informal) on the Saturday. Not sure how much they would want you to pay to get in for the day.

We are probably going to go up on the Saturday to take some pics.

All the best

Keith

Ah,

So I can come when BCF goes on an easier track? Very Happy

I'd leave it untill some time next year, when you've got more used to your bike.

If you can control yourself and not push it on a track, you'd probably be fine.
However I /do/ have to push it when I'm on a track, wouldn't go if I didn't Smile.

This will probably be the last one we do for this year, try and start again sometime early next year.

Also you've got to remember that you'd have to get there somehow... it's going to be quite a trek to cadwell on a ar125 Confused.

Self control, well.. I haven't really got any of that, but then again I haven't got any nerves either, so it balances out Wink

Yeah, guess I should wait it off 'till next year
