Premiership rape allegations

Anybody got any idea who the accused are?

I know you shouldn't make early judgements, but I wouldn't be surprised if this girl has made most of it up - consented to have sex with one player then made up the gang rape allegations to eventually get money from a tabloid.

Could be wrong so don't hold me to it but it reminds me of when the Hamilton's were accused of gang rape.

Well, it happened in London, so I assume that it was one of the teams that visited on the weekend.

That points the finger at either Villa, Newcastle, or Liverpool (is Charlton near London?).

I personally reckon that it's another cry for attention, but that's just my limited view.

Not a clue, first I'd heard about it.

But IMO people accused of a serious crime like rape/ murder etc should not be named unless they are convicted of it. Numerous people in the public spot light have had thier names ruined (possibly even more than they've managed to do on thier own) and been harassed by the press because some idiot thought it would be clever to say they got raped.

It's too easy to accuse someone famous of rape and ruin their careers. They should be left anonymous until there is sufficient evidence to charge them.

Yeah i just heard that too, apparantly and im only going on what ive heard.

[edit] was the player who had consent, the rest were newcastle platers, including [edit]. If it does turn out to be them i bet there will be a hefty out of court settlement and the case will be dropped due to a "misunderstanding" or something of the like, leaving them to do what the hell they like just because theyve worn an England shirt.

If it is true, they should all be sentenced as if they were anyone else however i cant see this being the case.

i'm unsure about this
i have heard all about premiership footballers reputations, they think they are gods. but this girl may want attention - look what happened when Ulrikakakaka Johnsen accussed John Lesley of rape, loads of girls came forward saying that he had raped them aswell. so she could be making the whole thing up.
i agree that the names should be kept annonymous as it could ruin their lives

Didn't ulrika Johnson effectively, but not litteraly, name the person in her book, and kept telling people who wanted to know who it was to buy her book and find out just so she could sell more copies.

Online Communities based around the football scene in the UK have been shut down if names were going to get thrown around...

But I couldn't really give a crap about the players protection and rights or wrongs....They kick a football for a living...

I have heard on the radio this morning that they won't be able to show a certain team on the TV or on the radio at the weekend because the fans will change certain chants about certain players, and if it goes out on TV/radio it could bias any court appearance.
