As above, discuss.

I'm personally just a roundabout ranger, but pft, it's still a laugh.

Road, because road is harder to do consistantly. MOre variables etc. This is just my opinion.

If you can KD on trackday, but only roundabout on the road then you vote trackday. It's a harder thing to do.

Little bit of both, never on a roundabout though. It is much easier on the track though. I'm not all that fussed.

You missed the "I'd rather ride than fanny about on roundabouts for 3 years until I GMKD" option Wink

I managed to get my left knee down doing 100+ on a fantastic left hander and that was my first knee down.

In hindsight it was a stupid fucking thing to do and I wont be doing stuff like that anymore. Wink

Meh, i just worked on my hanging off and it came naturally. The speed and hanging off are the objective, kneedown is the by product.

Remember that padawan.

KD's without hanging off aren't too hard, it's about confidence in your skill as for hanging off, trying that this weekend :twisted
both sides on road(bends etc)/roundabouts, never been on track Sad

Ahem. 7 days. Wink

Can get both knees down now, after about 10 days of riding. Left has only skimmed once or twice though, Not found any consistent left handers to build my confidence yet. can Knee down the right anywhere and everywhere now though. Hence I need one new slider. Rolling Eyes

I've done both on track. But never get near on the road too much to go wrong to travel at those sorts of speeds. Roundabouts a few times, only once done a few laps jsut to show i can GMKD on a 125.
KD shouldnt be the aim, riding quickly and safly should be.
Just my two cents.

I bought new leathers last year that specifically didn't have sliders and sold my 1-piece numbers because I found that I rode like a twat getting my knew down on the road.

Much smoother now I'm not fussed about doing it and probably safer.

Both on track and road.

Don't tend to get them down on the road anymore, don't see the point. Track all the time.

Bikes had KD on... CG125, ER5 and R6
Fastest known (to me) KD 115mph

Not yet!

I tried for a while on the vfr400 but gave up as a bad job, now I have a gsxf750 and it seems to want to lean more and feels so much better on corners so I might just give it a go at the weekend!

Not too fussed if it never happens, I only have knee sliders because they were given to me when I got asked if I could get my knee down and replied "dunno!!", he gave me some shiny new sliders and told me to keep em away from the grinder!
