Dear All!!

I need some help with a couple of problems I have:

1) My friend who was riding behind me said that sometimes there were sparks coming from the bottom of my bike. I checked the centre stand, which does not seem to touch the ground on its own. Could these sparks be coming from the chain sprokets/or chain? Or could this be a leak in the exaust?

2) After a couple of harsh runs (revved to redline), I noticed that the power on low end seems a little poorer. Why does this happen?

Oh and by the way... my friend was a on a CBR 250R AeroSport, and I was keeping up with him even at the top end (about 90 MPH) and still accelerating!! Although I must admit that he does pull away from the start a bit. The CBR sounds gorgeous and has amazing throttle response. Very Happy

Hi

The most likely place for a few sparks would be the exhaust if you do alot of miles at low speed. Just the carbon build up burning off. You would feel the side of centre stands grounding out

All the best

Cheers Keith for the reply!! You seem to know everything there is to know about bikes!!! You wouldn't happen to know how reliable one of those Malossi 180CC kits are for the NSR would you? Smile

Hi

Wish I knew everything. I dont know how good the Malossi kit is. However, most big bore kits tend to be quite lightly ported, and make the engine more flexable without giving much top end power, and really not putting ,uch more stress on the rest of the engine

All the best
