Datatool Veto... near miss

Stopped at a service station on M1 today, waiting for rest of 'party' to show up (turns out I was late and they been there ages getting a coffee). Anyway, they show up, I deactivate alarm... nothing happens.

Light on fob shows up (red), no bleep to show alarm deactivated.

It's an old fob, I have a spare waiting to be encoded (bought off ebay ages ago, looked at instructions, thought 'bleh' as I didn't have a bloody clue what a closed protective trigger switch looks like, gave up, fob gathers dust.)

Anyway, today, tried everything. Service mode button, both together for a length of time, nothing works

Everyone else getting itchy, ready to go (to Donnington Bikefest) I try again in desperation - alarm deactivates.

In a panic get key in, ride off, dread stopping anywhere but as it turns out no more problems today (phew).

Which brings me to the point of the post - I really need to encode this spare fob I have, so need to know what this 'protective trigger switch in a closed state with green tagged wires connected' looks like (cause I can't find anything with green tagged wires connected).

Any other way of finding out what wires need connecting to +ve on battery?

I have the original install certificate listing locations for all the connections, sensors, immobilisation points, negative earths etc. Anything to do with any of those?

I'm going to have a good rummage round tommorrow for any wires I might have missed (it's spaghetti under the seat) and I *need* to get this spare (new) fob up and working - the old one has seen better days and is probably nearly as old as the bike (10 years old).

Thanks for any help. (I'm still hyper about the thought of getting stranded on the thing on a ride out...)
