Hi guys and girls.
First of all my name is Rich im 23 and im from sunny Stoke!
Just wanted to ask a few questions and im newish to bikin and specially to the R6
Got it 3 weeks and wow am i a happy bunny!! i know its prob not the best choice for a first big bike but i just love the R6 so i thought F*** it why not!!
Thought id show it off and post a few pics.
Oh could someone please tell me what milage i can get once the petrol light comes on??

smart looking bike Thumbs Up quite like the car too and i'm not a car man.

working out what mileage you can do with the reserve light is like-
reset your trip meter when you fill up
ride until the light comes on
find petrol station and fill it to the brim
after a few times you should get some average
find out how much petrol your tank holds all together and work out what's normally left in there when you fill up.

Depends on how much you thrash it!

I tend to fill up around the 100 mile mark which is normall about £10

I think the light comes on at around the 115-120 mark but don't tend to wait for the light to come on (so along time since its been on hence the guess). But when it does you still have atleast 15-20 miles in the tank.


How much did you pay for her?

You just need to get a new zorst, seat unit and smaller indicators and it'll look pretty awesome. I recommend some crash bungs too Wink

Well i paid 3150 for her i know there is cheaper ones out there but i just fell in love plus i got warranty full history and there aint a mark on her so i thought i might as well have this one!! plus its blue!!

Ouch!

I paid slightly less than that over a year ago for a '99 model. Standard expect rear sprocket, indicators, screen and plate. Perfect condition, no scratches etc.

Think you could have picked one up of the same condition (maybe even newer) for cheaper but at the end of the day if your happy with it then thats all that matters.

I got about 130 miles the other day and no light but I was going on a long-ish journey and filled up. Still no light on mines.

Had to do a double take than as my mate has very recently bought an R6 just like yours, is 23 and from Stoke. The fact that his name is Andy quickly made me realise you are not one and the same. Although if you post any messages about how easy it is to power wheelie then I may be wrong as he is currently boring me to death with talk on them.

Hope you enjoy your bike and if you see a lad wobbling around stoke on a GSXR 600 SRAD then say hello.
