Can anyone tell me what a GSF Suzuki Bandit 400 v 1993 Streetfighter is worth ? I like the look of it and also its the perfect size for me, so thinking of buying it for a commuter bike and use the cruiser for longer rides Smile

I am looking at £700 but not sure if thats a good price or not, hope you can help, Thanks

Sharon

Reserve not met

May be a good idea to find out how much they want for it, and note it finishes soon.

Did you win it? I clicked the link and it said 3 seconds left! Looks like a very tidy bike. Would make an awesome commuter. In fact it's almost too good condition to be a commuter but the price is good enough for that not to matter!

If you like the look of the Bandit 400 and arent sure what its ups and down points are, have a look at a company called Banditmania who alos do a lot of work for the bandit owners club..have a look on their forum and ask around.Ive seen GOOD ones go for 1200 to 1500 pound, but as mentioned before..have you tried a 600 Bandit.Theyre very user friendly, practically bulletproof, semi reliable if looked after and spares are easy. The prices ive seen for an early one start off at 500 quid....any good????? Ive had a 400 Bandit for just over a year.
Its not the vvt version its just a bog standard 16valve "slingshot" !
( single disc on the front )
Its a great bike, ive got a stainless steel exhaust, so no worries about rust, and it sounds great.
Used it most days last summer commuting 25 miles a day, and though it isnt particularly good on fuel it is a good commuter bike, nice and light for filtering and fast enough to get you away from anything with 4 wheels at the lights.
Top speed up to now was 110, so its no slouch.

decent enough if you can find a goodun.

Keep on top of maintenance-like all suzukis rubber bits and electrics rot and the paint finish is mediocre.

Motors are ok but can go bang (usually the top end) if not looked after. Good points are rocker, screw and locknut adjustment on the valves which makes adjustment easy.

This is a bit spooky..

I was on google looking for a Suzuki Bandit forum of some sort and saw a link to this topic.. read it to find out that "Tonshar" was bidding on the bike I won!

I'm sorry Sad I bided £800 with 6 seconds to go, an upgrade from my commuting 125 & social.

I don't want to stir to much but I collected it yesterday morning and it's a LOVELY bike and has been well looked after.

Sorry
Ash
