a 4stroke can be 125 mate, but look for a Micron exhaust for it ____________________ Roger wrote: Women don't get damp for clingy puppies. Get some better happy pills, hit the gym & buy a medallion the size of a dinner plate. Job done |

The short answer is, not really.
You can make it louder by fitting a race can, but its still going to sound like an angry wasp. It wont sound any meatier no matter what you do, you need a bigger engine for that.

what 4 stroke racing replicas are there?
what sort of race can should he be looking for for his nsr125?
thanks all |
A 4-stroke is not necessarily a bigger engine.
4-stroke and 2-stroke engines work in different ways, but they ultimately do the same thing. Each type has its own advantages and disadvantages. I suggest wikipedia www.wikipedia.org for a full explanation.
Also, everyone loves animated diagrams! Enjoy.

P.S. Having owned an NSR, i suggest not bothering with a race can. Just enjoy it as it is, then spend the money on a bigger bike. ____________________ Current - '94 VFR750FR (Dead), '00 VFR800FI, 2011 CBF125 Previous - '10 Street Triple R, '92 MZ ETZ301, '05 TTR250, NSR125R, KMX125, "Honda" Win (chinese copy of an old Honda design with a C90 engine)

My NS has a micron, compared to a stock canned NSR I heard, My Microns better(deeper growl). ____________________ Roger wrote: Women don't get damp for clingy puppies. Get some better happy pills, hit the gym & buy a medallion the size of a dinner plate. Job done |

thanks |
Have you seen a CBR125 1st hand? There tiny little things.
Meaty isnt the word, infact the thing actualy looks like its cold!
Unless your talking about the sound of the engine, in which case you will prefer the 2strokes, as they like to screeeeeeaaaammm.
There never gonna sound like anything other than a 125, so i wouldnt bother about sound if i was you.
If you really want a 4 stroke Racer, try looking :
Sach XTC125 (4 Stroke version)
Derbi GPR125 <---- Naked streetfighter version is pure sex
Hyosung Comet GT <-- again, this bike looks twice the physical size of a CBR125
Duno about mechanicly how they work, someone else will need to put in a word in regards to that.
However if you want to look cool, and go fast at the same time, de-restrict any one of these
Cagiva Mito 125
Aprillia RS125
Honda NSR125
Dont bother with the sound, the only point at which one of my 125's sounded good, was when my Mito's exhaust fell off. (dont worry, its not a common problem!) ____________________ Write off!
