IIRC, if it's smaller than 9x7 inch it's technically illegal, although it'd probably have to be a jobsworth plod to get the £30 fine.

Personally I think it's fine as long as you don't draw unneccessary attention to yourself on the road. It actually looks about the same as mine Wink

Is it a 7"x5" plate??

Looks ok to me. I wondered the same when I had mine done, thought it looked tiny compared to the old one, but haven't had any problems with it so far. The width of the plate only just covers the metal supporting bracket which it is screwed onto.

Brother has also got a 7"x5" plate on his K5 750 GSXR.

Mine looked like this with original plate on . . .

Now looks like this with the 7"x5" plate on it . . .

Sure you'll be fine on the most part. What actual size is it? I've got one thats only 1" smaller in each dimension on my 400 and I'm yet to have a problem:

This is a piss taking size hence why I got a slighty bigger plate made up just incase.

Also, it was pointing kinda upwards so it was hard to read from behind.

That R6 is lush Razz and didn't you get pulled a lot with that plate. What is the fine for having a small plate?

I one saw a guy with a gray and white bike and the number plate was one of those letterbox ones and it was gray with white funky writing Shocked

Changed the plate for something more sensible but its still smaller and neater than an original sized one. Thumbs Up

Didn't I read somewhere that the Association of Chief Police Officers had agreed that the plate had to be readable from 20.5m, as in the standard sight test?
I bought an 8x6 plate for my bike and can read it easily from 35m so I hope I get away with it.

Regards

I've had a 7x5 on just about all of my bikes, touch wood, I get away with it. Trick is to get the font as large and close to standard as will possibly fit.

Rofl it's fine, looks average size to me, you're unlikely to get pulled for that and it's only a 30 quid fine if you're done anyway.

CC I can't believe you changed that plate, looks so good Sad
