Depends on what their views are.
I could never tell my parents I'm that way inclined as I know my mum would not take it at all well.
The only reason I'd ever tell her was if I got into a serious relationship with a lass.

Do you have a boyfriend?
If yes let them get to know him, have a meal or something together, then when everyones all relaxed let them know.

Your mum might already know they usually have an inkling, from what other gay mates have said anyway .

Have you kept it very well hidden, or might they already know? I'm always amazed about how naive some people are about their parents.

No point beating around the bush, it will only get harder. I can't speak from experience , but I would just keep it plain and simple, respectful, and hope that they're OK with it. Unless you come from a devoutly Catholic or (insert other religion) family, they probably won't have a problem with it, so don't kid yourself that they will.

I knew a girl who has been an out and out lesbian since she was 14, yet she's now 19 and as far as I know still hasn't told her parents. To be honest, I can't blame her. They are rather Catholic, and her brother is gay as well. Imagine that - you raise your kids Catholic, and they both turn out gay.
