Hi all,

My sis is after buying a Z750 Kwak, shes currently on a 99 Bandit 600, she wants to sell the bandit private rather than PX because she was offered a ridiculous price by a dealer.

So i'm looking to buy a bandit, and my sister is selling one, but to buy hers i need to sell my fiddy which means i will be without a bike all summer (not 17 till august) so what would you do? buy the bandit or stick with the fiddy until the end of august and then start looking? her bikes only got 6000mls on the clock and its in a mint condition, thats why i'm considering it. cheers.

Welcome to the world of want. I'd rather have a 50cc I could ride, than a 600cc I couldn't. There are other bikes out there (especially Bandits, common as muck) so finding a bike you'd like shouldn't be a problem.

stick with the 50. you will miss out on summer riding if you dont. Also is it worth getting such a nice bike for first bigger bike as your probably end up dropping it someway might be better to get a slightly tatty/older one for a cheaper price so you dont lose to much money on it (unless your going to get this bike for cheap since its your sisters).

Also by the time august comes you might have changed your mind and might want a completely different bike. i know ive change my mind about 3 time in the last 3 months about what bike i want after passing my test.

doesn't it suck having a august birthday : /

what are you planing for your test anyway ? to do it on your birthday or a couple of days later ?

Ask her nicely if she will hang onto it till you have passed your test...
You could start paying her a bit at a time to help.

Would be a good bike to buy as you know its history & how its been treated.
Unless of course she thrashes it to death.....
