What's the thickness of NSR tyre walls? I managed to hit a pot hole on wednesday and nearly come off as well as damage my rim and manage to get a slit in each wall.

I don't wanna risk a blowout so I need to know if they're gonna be ok! Confused

Just pop into a decent tyre place and ask them. As long as there not money grapping cowboys they should advise you whether it is okay or not.

TBH I would get a new tyre. You won't know exactly how much rubber is left and another pot hole could kill it. What damage is there to the rim? You should get that fixed anyway.

Thanks guys. Since I've just recently got my new palm tool, I thought I'd use the digi camera on it to take a pic of it. Very Happy

See what ya think. Only a small but deep cut, you can see the fibres. Rim damage is minimal.

Another thing to sort is to get proof and evidence about the pot hole.

My mum trashed a tyre and rim in her car on a pot hole. She contacted the council and pestered them and she got a new rim paid for and a % toward the tyre (wear and tear deduction).

Get lots of phots of it with an item in it to indicate the size (mum used a baked bean can) because as soon as you contact the council they wil fill it in.

Any bill you receive can be billed to the council, they will resist it , but keep at them.

Dont know about the damage and you really need to get a expert to look at it.
