Died... Yesterday I think in the North East area.

The 16 year old was riding his dad's Kawasaki zx 7r I think...

a 750 Kawasaki anyway.

The 15 year old was his mate on the back... went into a lampost.

Didn't know how many people had heard figured I'd let the wider audience know though.

Obviously its tragic news, but who the hell lets their 16 yr old son on the road on a 750? and take a 15 yr old on the back?

I agree Jake...

The police have offered condolences to the family but you have to wonder what the hell the father was thinking at the time

Damn.

I'm slow today. Sorry Brod.

In that case what was the lad thinking... I offer my condolences because i'd hate to know what it feels like.

But there's a reason you can't get at them straight away... from what i saw of the picture it looked like target fixation had caused it.

Kids will be dumb cunts. Luckily 99% of us get away with it and live to get a little smarter, unfortunately there's always gonna be that unfortunate 1%. Parents must be gutted.

Can't find it...

Did find stories about two other bikers who've been killed... a 34 year old in Durham, hit a lampost on a roundabout.

And "A biker was killed in a horrific smash on the A19 at the weekend.

The rider was declared dead at the scene after colliding with a car and then being hit by up to three other vehicles."

So yeah... must be the time of the year... everyone's just dusting off their crotch-rockets after the winter it seems.

That'll destory those two families.

The fella was probably trying to be the big lad in front of his mate, its just unfortunate that the lesson had to be learnt this way Sad

I'm going to get so flamed for this.

I feel sorry for the parents. Mainly for the fact that they were away on holiday when this happened and they left their son by himself who they thought they could trust.

The rider, I don't feel sorry for him.

1) He stole that bike.
2) He rode illegally (no license, insurance etc...).
3) He essentially killed his mate.

They also look the type to steal a bike (and they did). It could of ended a lot worse than two deceased teenagers.

On another note, I saw a chav ride up the road yesterday on a GSXR, a new model, that had a cheap red helmet on and his tracksuit with his mate on the back with just a hoodie on.

Would you feel sorry for them if they crashed and died? I wouldn't.

I think that bike was stolen and no I didn't have time to report it to the police.

Shit happens. There are plenty of people who die through no fault of their own, or even from the actions of tits like these two. I'd rather save my sympathy for them.

I agree with you two, yeah kids do daft things, most get away with it, and an unfortunate few don't. When your that age you think your invincible. Those lads wouldnt have been thinking about possible consequences. They were probably thinking....'yeah lets have a quick blast on me dads bike, he'll not notice, put it back exactly as we found it'.

Sepiroth wrote:

Thats bollox, they just look like the majority of teenage lads do these days.

As a Mum to 3 lads, I am aware of what antics boys of that age can get up too...and without going into detail, my two eldest lads have pulled some daft stunts...but it doesnt make them bad kids.

So without being flippant, and I am not saying it was right for those boys, to take the Dads bike for a spin, that was a bit extreme..... .... but its the kind of thing some kids would do, out of curiosity, just to impress someone, or just cos kids do pull random stunts like that.

I feel sorry for the lads and their parents, Its very sad, a waste of two lives... but I am just glad no one else was involved.
