There i was on my way to uni, traffic was at a stand still rush hour traffic so i was just filtering here and there (nothing stupid) cant of been going no more then 20mph anyways there was a bit in the middle of the road where cars on either side can get by (sort of)
so as no one was using it, just to overtake 2 cars i decided to use it,,, little did i know it was covered in gravel so i loose traction and i get floored hit the head pretty hard on the floor but helmet did its job well ( Thanks OGK!) and i just lied there i didnt even know what to do rather then thinking of myself i did somming well weird i thought of the bike and how it was how messed it must be...laying next to me, so i dont move i think i was still in shock or somming i dont have a clue anyways few chaps and a women get out their car and they had a blanket to cover me and they kept me talking and told me to lie still (i wanted to get up as i wasnt hurt bad) and an ambulance passing stopped checked me over see if i was okay checked if i could still move... and here i did another dumb thing that i cant explain ...i asked the ambulance paramedics if my bike was ok, and how bad she was lol Very Happy... lol anyways the guys that got out the car were now checking over the bike lifting it up as it was in the middle of the road with me and they attempted to wheel it onto the pavement a BT van on the opposite lane had stoped in front of me so no cars comming onto me were gonna be hitting me...(pretty cool for him to stop...as we all know about white van drivers Smile ) and then the actual ambulance that was called out for me arrived few mins later so the 1st one left and 3 police cars arrived on the scene as well as this road was real real busy at it was, the police officer in the car that actually was a biker himself said how he has had a few near misses he checked over my helmet and said it looked ok but to goto to this bike shop to have it checked properly in case of internal damadge, anyways i was then taken into the ambulance where i was checked over the paramedic asked if i wanted to be taken to casualty as all i had were a few cuts and bruises nothing major at all, but i felt there was no point as there were nothing really wrong with me, luckily anyways the police officers said as there was nothing wrong with me i should get back on the bike straight away and not get someone to collect it as 'i may get scarred of it' so that i did and im now here to tell u the story,

the bike it self is amazing little to hardly any damage what so ever obviously it got scuffed but it will be dead easy to paint over and cover up the grapphics are all intact too and it worked first time as well only real problem was rear indicator screw which held it has broken so all is very minor real pleased with that consider myself lucky

even tho i wasnt wearing leathers....it is my number 1 priority i was very very very lucky i will have no scares or anything and i can still walk fine nothing wrong with me at all i just wanted to say a big thanks to the huddersfield emergency services (and the traffic cops) who i feel were doing a great job and thanks to u guys at bcf who've iv'e made friends with and have helped me with this ordeal

cheers Very Happy

Shocked Sounds a bit scary, least you weren't hurt bad and the financial damage should be minimal Smile. Everyone has their first crash some time or other, it's a big step ya know Wink

Glad to hear that both you and your bike are relatively ok. Smile

'Tis the season for dodgy road surfaces, so indeed take care, and take your time before committing to any manoeuvres.
