Hi Guys & Gals,

Sorry I havent been on for a while (not that you'd noticed!!! Very Happy )
However this is due to the Internet being cancelled at work, so the only time I get on is when I visit me Mum and Dad.

Well the Badit is almost completed, just got back from a quick blast around the block. The seat has been recovered in a blue leather type material done by myself and looks the Business!

Everything has been fitted however I seem to be having a problem with one of the Indicators and the number plate light. I have checked the connections and bulbs but no joy. but anyway the Bike is going in for an Mot soon and the guy has agreed to sort both before he does it.

Then all that is left is insurance and tax \o/ \o/ Yay!!!

One thing I noticed while out on it was that the steering/ handlebars like to turn when riding at very low speed. Doesnt seem to be a problem that a steering damper can't solve??!!

Apart from that it looks like it could be sorted and ready to ride by next weekend.

Post some Completed pics when I remember to get the Camera down. And I will catch up with all you guys soon.

Take care (especially in this lovely weather we are having!! Laughing)

Mike.

hopefully mine will be completed fully in the next given week or 2.
i should get the fairings back from gav soon,
the bikes running at the moment (minus the exhaust studs so no exhaust on it at the moment)
the wheels are sent off and told the guy no rush for them.

Then all that needs to be done is the head light being fitted and fairings / wheels all being fitted which won't take an afternoon.

For the moment though it has RWB fairings and orange go faster wheels Wink

but i've still got the tarty blue spongy grips Dodd loves so much! Very Happy

It might be that your head bearings rae a bit loose. Try tightening them before investing in a steering damper for what is a relativly slow steering bike.

I've thought about this again now the alcohol has stabilised in my system and am sure that its just loose head bearings. Its high speed instability that needs a damper.

Hello Again,

Summy: Yeah it is a 600. Alot faster than I thought It would be (acceleration that is!) but otherwise I havent really been out on it enough to comment.

Can anyone give me a quick description of how to tighten the head bearings. Im sure we covered it in Basic Maintainance (just under the Top yoke??)

Any advice Appreciated,

Mike.

For your steering problem i suggest you take a look at those bearings, if not check your forks to see if they are lined up properly, also inspect the top and bottom yoke (triple clamp).
