Hiya guys,

As some of you know I'm heading to Penang at the end of this month (possible the start of next) which I have very little need of a decent motor. As such I've been flying about in what I affectionately call the flying tank...a 1.8 cavalier which I procured little over a year a go with full MOT and tax.

Anyway, the beast needs to be put down ASAP. Other than new tyres, it requires MOT and tax so what I am looking for is a banger to see me through the next four weeks. I don't care if its shameful to be in or if it smells or owt like that. All I need is about 1K miles of driving with a tax and mot for a month.

So if anyone in the yorkshire region could point out such a vehicle, going for something like £100 then please leave a message here! I don't care if its a bag of shite (and for those of you that remembers the Belmont I flogged on Ebay, you'll know I have no car pride), all I care is that its legal (borderline is fine) and that it will run for four weeks!

Happy days, problem solved....my mates a mechanic and occasionally has a few old cars to sell. I called him and he's renting me a old micra for £25 quid a week Laughing

Its a good thing I have no car pride Very Happy

Actually I'm laughing, but I once got a Mazda 626 for the price for a train ticket to Glasgow...cost me £11 from York. Got the car with £40 of petrol in the the tank and 6 months road tax. The only thing was the CV joint was clicking when you turned right! I got a good 8K miles out of it before it had to go:lol:
