About to get my bike back on the road (after about 9 months) Thumbs Up so thought I'd check it over for the MOT and just tidy it up a bit. Battery's flat so was running it to get a bit of charge in. Decided after awhile to give it some revs, check the lights and blew the bastard headlight Thumbs Down Mad
I know its a small thing but such a pain in the arse. And, I actually made a post about daylight MOTs this morning Rolling Eyes Typical.

Do you have a faulty regulator?

Or just an old bulb?

Hopefully just the bulb, but it could easily be the regulator.

I just said that because if you were giving it some revs and it popped.

You'll need a multimeter I'm afraid.

Set it to DC voltage link it to the bulb holder, then rev the pants off it,
mine went up to 19!! when the regulator had gone. I think up to 14volts is normal.

Good luck, best to check than to waste a load on a bulb, I bought one of them Philips Bluevision expensive ones and went before I realised it was the regulator.

Yeah, I'll get the meter out. It would rather annoy me though as I replaced it only last year. Was an old eBay one mind.
