I seem to have acquired a race/track bike.
I already had an FZR400, but it's a bit of a shed, but have just picked up a rolling frame and engine of another, identical FZR400 which has an engine that "isn't standard" and came from the IOM.
I'm in the process of building one good, out of the two, and stockpiling a load of the spares that I've accu, mulated in the process.
I've just been offered another FZR400 rolling chassis, 2 engines, some spare wheels and various boxes of bits, and it would be stupid to refuse them. This one is also an ex-race bike, and is in reasonable nick, and a mild state of tune.
Soo.. now that I've got a reasonably suitable machine and a load of spares.. what race series would a 1990 FZR400 be suitable for?
I'm thinking about 2008 or even '09 as I'm skint this year, but I hope t get it ready and rebuilt for my trackday next month. (just have to do chains and sprockets, brakes, clocks, bodywork, exhaust and check the cooling system)
