My mates just bought a gullarm, and I'm wondering whether it's 33bhp restricted (I don't want it to be!).
How will I tell if it is - what speed will it get up to restricted? (I rode it home 40 miles but kept to 60 cause it wasn't mine and wasn't checked over, so couldn't tell on that occasion)
The lad who was on the V5 (before the dealer) had it for 2 years, which made me think he might've had it 33bhp.
If it is restricted, where is the restriction and how easy is it to remove?
Cheers

Don't know how you couldn't tell! Maybe that's because it isn't restricted because they're totally gutless when restricted. fenton couldn't keep up with me on my restricted GPZ when he was on his restricted CBR400. You don't really need to go above 60 to find out whether it's restricted or not, just accelerate from slow/stopped and you will be able to compare it to your 400 pretty well. ____________________ :: Honda XR 125 L ('53) => Kawasaki GPZ 500S ('02) => Suzuki SV650S ('00) => Aprilia RSV-R ('51) :: |

You might find it has a lower speed though if it hasn't been properly serviced for a while, I mean if you see indicated 105ish then assume its restricted, if not flush and balance the carbs.
I would have thought it would be relativly easy to de restrict, just take out the carb washers! i say "thought" as the practicality of it might be more of a pain! ____________________ NC30 + Bandit 6
