This could all be getting rather complicated, as I'm somewhat considering abandoning the bright lights of London town for a rather familiar flat in Slough... Karma

Hmmm longer commute vs. space to keep toys Question

Renting, not buying.

Lower rent - more space (ish) - no parking Nazis - room for a car.

Further to get to work though (like I'd find anything nearer Laughing)

Decisions decisions Neutral

I'd say you're probably like it more living out of London with a commute... and then you can try and work from home Smile

And the lack of parking nazi's, with private parking is a major bonus, your insurance will be lower as well Very Happy

Bendy you need to concider two major things.

1) Does it have a good local pub?
2) How near is the local papirika pizza?

If the above criteria is met to your satisfactory I say go for it Very Happy

And congratulations jo and kev \o/

Hi

Nah, they've got her number now. They will probably just issue them and then claim she is ignoring the tickets when they just shoved them in the bin in the first place.

Oh well, 2 house warming parties.

All the best

I don't really drink. So that's one thing off the list.

I've been dwelling on this all day long, and I'm veering towards moving. Going to do some sums tonight and see how it all works out.

The commute in winter in the car... meh. The commute in summer on the bike... Very Happy . You can find a vague semblance of twisties between here and Slough if you look hard enough.

Re. the parking tickets... I'd have to inform Westminster that I'd moved so they could forward their 'correspondance'. Otherwise I'd just end up with a big ol' black mark on my credit rating. But it would be fun to write a letter saying 'I'm leaving your borough purely because of your parking attendants'. Smile

So if I move, will people come and visit me now that there's no 'ooh it's in London and I can't park' excuse? Karma

Right, the house has 2 bedrooms and a box room (6x4) which will be my computer room, a large porch which when i'm finished with it I will be able to get 6 bikes in it, a garage and a garden about 3 times the size of gavs oh and a large living room.

Nah, Charlotte would kill me for that. Easier to extend the garage.

All the best
