What 600 to buy?

I've been riding a Honda Bros 650 for the past year and now feel its time to get myself a better bike.

I've not got a fortune to spend only around £1200, Ideally I was looking for around a 98 plate if possible but I may be pushing my luck with my small budget.

A R6 is out of my price range so It looks like its going to be a ZX6R,GSX or something similar any suggestions would be appreciated

I picked up a '99 Fazer 600 in February for £1195. It's got a detuned R6 engine and a sane riding position. Highly recommended.

My brother is looking to sell his FZR600, very good condition. think thats up for £1200, only selling as he needs 2 cars as has a baby now.

Just curious, whats wrong with the Bros? i had a 400 and loved it but wanted a little more power, a 650 woulda been tasty

My dad's got an RF600. Nice bikes but they are very heavy, still pulls away from the lights fast enough though.
