Hi
finally got myself another machine. Its not exactly a rocket ship but it should do around 110 (only had it at 95 so far), and it'll get me around Florida for a year without any hassle and without breaking the bank (I'm a skint student).
I bought it down in Miami, got the greyhound down (not nice, I don't recommend it, the kind of people who don't own cars in the US....) and then rode it the 360 miles back. Good fun.

Kawasaki Ninja 250r- 250cc 4-stroke twin
2002 model, 3000 miles, showroom condition all for £1200.

sounds good for a 250, pretty loud, but I'm used to the high pitched whine of a 2 stroke so it was bound to sound good to me Smile

theres a sound clip here https://www.geocities.com/ninja250nate/ninja250.mp3

you got me Smile I miss the way the planet looked, but I don't miss pushing it home or buying expensive badly made parts. Plus, the rev counter on this bike is keeping me highly amused, it was a real pain how the planet didn't have one.

I don't think I ever rode the Planet properly because I never had a clue how many revs were good and how many were killing it so I just never even tried to thrash it.

Surely you got used to it though? It must have had a rev limiter? Couldn't you just have backed off/changed gear when it started hitting the limiter?

yeah I just used to thrash it anyway which is probably why its so fucked up.
I just know I never wanna buy another bike without a rev counter.

Nope I was too paranoid. I just wanted it to last till I did my test so I could get a big bike (with a rev counter Wink ). All this talk of 2 stokes seizing up got to me - besides it was restricted anyway so i was probably thrashing when I was going up steep hills! Laughing
