hi guys, the time has come to replace our citroen xsara, and we have seen a ford focus '53 plate 1.8 tdci ghia. A test drive revealed it to be fairly comfy and quite punchy, but im after advice from any owners here..
how have you found your focus to live with? reliability, mpg, etc etc.
cheers ____________________ no silly comment here!! |

I've got an X reg 1600 ghia and bought it when it was just over 2 yrs old 4-5 years ago with 14k on it. It's now just gone over 70k and still running great and the air con still works without having had to do anything to it yet!!
It's broken down once due to an engine management part, otherwise very, very reliable. Only bad thing is the engine size, 1600 just really isn't enough anymore - I would say a minimum would be 2.0l, and always go for the luxury version, so much more comfy!... Have fun! |

Just check underneath for oil leaks and you wont go far wrong with a focus, for some reason they seem more reliable than the mondeo.
Mondeo tdci's are forever smoking like troopers and having flywheels that come loose and egr valves that fail regularly, dont buy a mondeo tdci.

I'm looking at getting a Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec i've seen for sale. Seem like good little cars. ____________________ Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it.
