Welcome,

My advice is do a lot of reading on here about the test and get plenty of practice.

Ride safe and good luck Smile

If I were you I'd book a lesson or two. You're probably a competent rider but being competent doesn't mean you'll pass the test. You will have no doubt picked up some bad habits like everyone else and you will need to know about lane position, etc. I never knew anything about lane position in corners, etc until I had my lesson for my practical.

My instructor said I was competent and was obviously confident on the bike. But I wouldn't pass. You need to know the mirror, signal, lifesaver, manouver(sp?), or something like that. And being able to do U-Turns, etc.

Good luck for the test! Thumbs Up

It was the first date available at the test centre I wanted, I know all about lifesavers etc thats not a problem and that you must turn the engen off before getting off the bike, but what about getting on the bike do you turn it on when your on it ?

Yes. You get on the bike first and then start it up and dont forget the examiners like to see the back brake on when you start up
