Which is better. seriously...
It's my first bike but money for repairs in not an issue if i dropped a faired bike.
I just don't know if i like the nakeds but if i get a few good reasons to get one it might sway my desicion... which would be nice... because i've heard theyre cheaper

Whatever you prefer really.

If you drop a naked it will cost less on repairs obviously, but you will lack wind protection for long jorneys.
If you do alot of motorway miles a naked bike may not be for you.

I find naked more fun tho, a much greater sence of speed also.

I said naked once, then rode several bikes naked and faired and found that the faired was soooo much nicer to ride longer distances and when it's windy.

This Really is a good question, I am looking at getting a commuter, I have looked around a lot. I have decided on a Bandit,
There are a couple for me to pick from.
Fist is a Faired Silver 650, It has about 15k on the clock and a price of £2999.00 its a 02 model,
Second Is a Blue 06 600 cc Faired with about 20k on the clock with a price of £2500.
And last there is a un-faired Teal colour o6 bike with 14 miles on the clock, It has Suzuki warrantee left,. The last owner bought the bike rode it home then to the doctors who told him his results he is epileptic and would no longer be able to drive untill he has had some time with out a fit or something like that. The price of this 1 is £3500.00 All prices include a years road tax.
They are all in stunning condition
What would you do?
Tony

Well, I would get quotes on each bike for insurance - You'd be suprised at the different prices for different years - Some newer bikes are cheaper than older ones for me! Also, when it comes to renewing tax, the 650 will cost more. But other than that, I would go off condition, service history and any receipts.

Don't forget, if you do decided on a naked bike, you can buy small screens/fly screens to mount on the headlight fixings that will take the edge off windblast on longer journeys.

ooh dear, I am so confused what one to get as a second bike, the newer one colour Teal is a stunner, Its got less than 20miles on the clock , Full paper work Only ridden twice BTW did I say the colour is stunning? £3500??
Ruled out the blue faired one.
And then the silver one 2002 model with 15k miles on the clock with fairing at just under £3000.
decision's X's 2..
Oh Dear Oh Dear, Got to tell them my decision on Tuesday.
Insurance quotes are the same.
I'm getting a head ache,
At lease the wife knows what she wants.
BTW I will be keeping my GV650 to use for longer trips.

Any one would prefer a thou to a 6 if you want speed, but how about a naked busa running turbo and NOs?

or this bad boy, not arsed about performance but for looks it pisses all over your faired "we all look the same" bikes.

Oh I dunno...

It's all relative isn't it.

600's are fast.

It's just 1000's are more fast.

im beginning to hate my bandit. 60 miles a day on motorways on a naked bike takes its toll. I will probably be changing for a faired bike soon. If my commute was smaller roads it probably wouldnt be as much of a problem.

I changed from commuting on a Naked Divvy to a faired ZZR-600. So much better, so little wind resistance now.
