Hi, what do people do when they need a 'dealer specialist tool'? I need what looks like a normal socket, but it would need square slots on four equal points on it (if that makes sense).

Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

My TLR needs a tool like that to change the clutch plates , I just bought the tool, and will sell it on when I have finished with it.

You can make one out of a pipe the same size with the slots cut out and two holes at the other end so a bar/rod can be placed through to turn it.

Have you done an Ebay search ? What is the tool for getting off ? What bike as well ? I will look for you if you want.

For £10, the tool that I got worked out much easier than bodging one.

A 3/4inch socket fits nicely over it, but like I say, just needs the square bits. Will have to bodge something together if I can't find the/a right tool.

Jamie, it's a from a Triumph Daytona 600, and it's for removing the engine, one of two stupid tools needed, the other is a *huge* torx wossit. If I knew what I was searching for, I would. Socket with square bits on doesn't help ebay though. Laughing

You might ask the dealer. Sometimes they may allow you to borrow. (Pay for it if you kucf it up.)
I think if you buy all your spares from them and it's not a 'big deal' tool then it would be fair.
They can say no.
So you Never buy a washer from them. Ever.
And seek alternative supply. Evil or Very Mad

Hi

Think I have that tool. Got it with a TT600 manual. Don't think they are much from a Triumph dealer.

All the best

Keith
