Laughing

Karma has a bad way of messing with ya.

On Thursday I had a new tyre fitted.

Well Friday night on the way to a party I picked up a screw that is about 3 inches long in my rear tyre I pulled up and you could hear the air coming out. Pissed off to say the least less than 40 miles on it and its flat lol.

So I spent all of today running between my mates house with my wheel and tyre.

They plugged my old(new) one and gave me a new one for $100 fitted to the wheel. But I have already missed out on some amazing riding weather Crying or Very sad

Any one else had the same experience; buy a brand new tyre and you puncture it the next day Laughing

I was just gonna get it plugged but as the bike was about 1 hour from a bike shop I had to just rip the tyre off and bring the wheel to get it all done Thumbs Up

I got a puncture in a rear Pilot Power after it was about a third/half worn. The new one got punctured about a week after fitting it (still got it in the shed, properly repaired with a mushroom plug).

My mate got a nail in his rear tyre 2weeks after passing/buying his bike. Got a new one and same happened about 3months later, now he needs a new front and back as front was due but rear ok. Just after he's had his fairing repaired from dropping it - Luck just isn't on his side is it! Laughing

I had a rivet stuck in my BT45 rear within a few hundred miles and about three weeks of owning the bike.
£30 to a local mobile mechanic and it was sorted within an hour...

I've now done about 6000 miles in all weathers on the same tyre with no problems, I just hope the same bad luck doesn't strike when I get to replace it in the next month or so

I can go one better, first day i rode my brand new bike i got a puncture that was unrepairable, albeit 90 miles in a day but the fecking thing cost me £130 for a replacement.
Then just to take the piss exactly one week later it happened again Laughing
Luckily that one could be plugged.

Whilst fettling my bandit last year I noticed half a drill bit in the rear tyre. "Oh bother" I thought. And pulled it out.

The tyre deflated and the bike fell off the stand, breaking the brake lever, mirror and scratching up the fairings and brand new r&g can protector.

I didn't say "bother" then.
