I aprk my bike outside the window where I work so I can keep an eye on it, went for lunch at half 2 this afternoon, came back half hour later, bike was missing!! After soon realising it wasnt a work-mate widing me up, I got straight onto the cops. The said they circualted my number plate out in the area. An hour later they called me to tell me they found it, but it was minus a lock barrel. Turns out that cos I put the streering lock on, that was the only reason it was barrelled. The ignition wires were hanging out and were taped together. Im so f*cking screwing!! Got it home ok, have to use engine kill switch to cut it off and ive disconnected the ignition wires so the battery doesn't drain. To top it off I get a letter from my insurance company saying that cos i forgot to pay last months bill, they 'assume' I have cancelled it!! Good job the cops found the bike then eh?? Damn i need a drink...... Crying or Very sad

Shit, Would you count yourself lucky or unlucky then, a bit of both if you ask me. At least you still have your bike though. Insurance can always be started again.

Well you got it back which is the main thing. I'd not mention the insurance bit to the cops... as you've been riding around uninsured Rolling Eyes

And if you don't pay them... thats about the first thing that they will do Wink

Bastards but its a good job you got it back, and a lock barrell isnt too bad considering!

Id get a few Big fat chains mate and its worrying to think how little time it takes to steel a bike and how no one seems to see them!

oh how i wish i'd have caught them!!! i'd say it would be worth doing some time just so you can have revenge!! whats the going rate 4 a barell? My boss said if it any damage aint covered by insyrance, company would pay 4 it as it was @ work, now i could be a right cheeky sod and say that they dropped it whilst they had it, as ive still got damage on my bike when i crashed it last year! is it worth it..?
