hi all i'm new to the world of bikes and would love some advice, i currently have an Aprilia SR50 scooter - only 2 months old - but already i want something better. I'm after a 125. At the moment it's a toss up between the Cagiva Mito the Aprilia RS or the Honda NSR.

I think i've decided on the NSR but only if i can get this one
https://www.qpratools.com/catal/hondansr125r.jpg any one know if this is still available (though prob going secondhand) or just general opinions on the above 3 bikes?

Ive heard the Aprilia and Cagiva are bad to run as you spend a lot of time taking them apart to rapair them (though this was thru a pushy sales man trying to flog an NSR to me - wrong colours though).

Cheers all

Laughing wait for ste's reply, he normally re-directs these! Laughing

But... NSR's have stoped been made because of emmisions so your only chance is second hand, so it stands a fair chance that theyll be a secondhand yellow one (alough you dont see many about)
and stick with honda mate!

Cheerz Ant. Are they planning on making any more NSR's with the new emmsions regulations or stopping alltogether - though like i said before shouldnt worry me as will be going second hand.

I think the NSR will be the one as no one has anything bad to say about it - except it's a couple of MPH slower than the Mito or RS but i'm sure that's not too much a worry - it'll be faster than my SR Laughing

replacement for the nsr is the new cbr125, 4 stroke, avoid that

NSR is a good target, if you had been on your scoot for longer i'd recommened doing your test and gettin something a bit bigger, but given the amount of experience i'd say an NSR is about right for you

dont be too fussy about the colour, i'd say you be hard pushed to find one like the one in that pic

welcome to the forum btw Smile

yeah, was thinking of doing my test - but thought give it a year on 125 then do it (its not cheap Smile )

Seems it will be the NSR - ive just not heard a bad thing about it, apparently a shop in Notts (where i live) is having one delivered on weds - will be taking a look at that on the weekend - you never know - this time next week i could have it Smile

and thanx for the welcome Smile

Your not allowed to call anyone a tart, not since you decided to buy an NSR just so you can paint it pink Laughing

You forgot about the glitter shaun!
And if I wasn't going to spend my money on a 400 I still would and who knows what is going to happen in the future! Everything may end up pink!

I've decided against the Cagiva - not many places in Nott'm service them - so it's now down to the RS and the NSR. Think i'm swinging more to the RS - i love my little SR and want to stay faithful to Aprilia - plus the GP1 looks sweet.

Hi

The Aprilias are generally reliable if treated well, but they do need care. The NSR does seem able to cope with abuse more easily.

All the best
