Having not been on my moped for a long time, its decided to stop starting. Only done about 100 miles on it, and ive topped the oil up recently. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh and how do you kick start one of these things lol, never tried it before.

When you say stop starting does it make any noise or is it just silent. Any odd noises? As far as kickstarting goes.... there should be a fold out lever that you push down with your foot quick (hard to describe) and this winds over the engine. Although if you havent spotted one on yours you may be one of the unlucky ones that has a bike without a kickstart.

It sounds as if its trying to start, but just cant quite make it. And as for kickstarting, do I switch the engine on or off when I kickstart? Im guessing its the battery and after a kickstart it might start up again.

Sometimes even if the engine turns over on the electric start it may not have enough spin to start it.

To start on kick is the same procedure as normal;

1. Turn ignition on
2. Pull one of the brake levers
3. Pull out small bar/peg on kickstart, slowly press down with your foot until you get more resistance (this is compression) then let it come back up and give it a quick kick down whilst still pressing the brake lever. (Maybe put a bit of throttle on too)

If it takes quite a few attempts, leave it for about 10mins as it may have flooded and then try again.

When kickstarting all you need is a bit of throttle and a swift kick.

I personally think your plug is screwed. Change it and see what happens.

Brake lever not being pulled only isolates the Starter motor, not the ignition. So the bike should kick start without having to pull any levers.
