Hi guys,

One of my mates in work is having a problem with his bike, when the bike is ticking over or doing anything with the engine started the speedo goes wild and starts reading speeds that the bike is not actually doing (even while stood still), We're not sure whats up with it so if anyone can shed any loght he would be rgateful. Cheers

Forgot to say the speedo is not cable driven so no problem there.

Thanks
Scott

This is a constant thing though as in it has started happening quite regular, will let him know about that though just in case, a thought we had was that it could be a problem with the engone speed sensor thing which detects the speed your travelling from the engine??? maybe this is fudged.

Any further help would be appreciated guys.

Eventually the clocks have stopped measuring speed at all but measures the revs fine.

Checked the battery, its fine
Check connections, all fine, even changed clocks and theres no change, any ideas at all.
