hi all i have just bought an aprilia rs 125

i must say it is not what i thought having read all the reports of these amazing pocket rockets the one i have got is very slow.

i looked on the net and found some info on de-restricting the cdi unit.

i have removed the black silicone as advised but they mention to break the bridge. this is where i am stuck.

i have un earthed a little capacitor/resistor on the board is this what i break.

please could someone help

many thanks

Andy

The bridge looks like a thick staple, cut it and remove, remember to reseal it... the get a power valve set up, upjet the carb, decent expansion exhaust and it will be much better... They also like a little more ignition advance and some porting if ya wanna make it really sing! Wink

Hi

The CDI "restriction" only effects between 5000 and 6000rpm. It has no effect outside that rev range and no effect at all max power.

You do have to rev the nuts off sporty 125 2 strokes. The power is mainly over 8000rpm.

All the best

Keith
