Hi guys,

The long and short of it, ive been to Krakow and Bratislava, and my Dad has shown an interest in going to Eastern Europe, as the furthest he's been is Amsterdam. (I went there late last year)

Now I can only manage a Weekend due to work, so leaving early saturday and coming back whenever on monday or tuesday.

Was gonna show him Slovakia or Poland as i already know them (roughly). But i havent been to Krakow for about a year so cant remember all the greatest bars/clubs. (im sure it would come back to me)

Can anyone think of anywhere else in Eastern Europe they can recommend for a weekend? I choose eastern europe for the cheap drink and nice women!

all help appreciated!

Poland is Central Europe, not Eastern Europe.
Referring to Poland as being in Eastern Europe is quite offensive and has been known to end up in black eyes, especially if you're drinking.

Just a tip, like.
Check out https://www.wikitravel.com (enter your destinations in the search bar).

What kind of bloke is your Dad? If you are not planning on doing anything wild then Slovenia is a nice place to go. Ljubljana is a nice city with plenty of sights and stuff, easy to go the budget route or blow out. Nightlife is not exactly hopping but that is nice for certain types of trips.

Norway, Sweden, Finland and Iceland generally have great nightlife in the bigger (!) cities, but unfortunately everything is very expensive up there, so probably not something you'd want to check out.
However if you head to Tallinn in Estonia, you can get the whole Scandinavian dealie for cheap. (In)famously good nightlife with everything from strip joints to trendy wine bars, and it is also not 'scary' as some ex-bloc capitals can be. It is very up-and-coming; you probably wouldn't believe you were standing in an ex-bloc country if you stood in the centre proper. Generally Latvians consider themselves more Northern than Eastern European and they are only across the pond from Helsinki, which explains the Scandinavian feel. It's also a gorgeous city in terms of castles and greenery and all that jazz, so a double thumbs up from me.

Avoid Riga.

I went to Krakow recently and it was awesome.

Went to Tallinn a bit later and that was amazing as well. Preferred Krakow though as Tallinn was very touristy although the Estonian girls made me drop my yoghurt every 5 minutes.

You are correct in the geographical sense, obviously im not into offending the locals, so i tend to keep my mouth shut when im in places like that.
