Why do you have to get there soo early, is it because tickets run out or something?

I and Soulrider are going but I have no idea what time we are leaving, if we need to get there for 6am, then we too will need to leave very early Shocked we are around a 100 miles away from Donny.

Am going to get there for about 8 ish, I've got to collect my ticket from the box office and I don't think it opens until about then anyway.

Looks like there could be some freaky storms over the next week, glad I'm not camping now.

You mean on actual race-day? They might let you into the car park at 6am but I can assure you you won't get onto the track then, we usually aim to be in at about 8.30 to get the stall ready for opening and the public aren't let through until at least about 9 if I remember from the last couple of years.

Bring your wellies, it's going to be a wet one this year I reckon. Sad

If anyone is passing through the trader hall I will be flogging model bikes and bits and bobs on the motorcyclegifts stall - I'm the short fat bird with the glasses so please say hello!

My dads getting me up early so we can get there for 6am.

Think I may say hello babyyam as I will probably pass through, can't wait. My first moto gp meeting. Am hoping it doesn't rain hard though.

If the racing gets called off coz of really bad rain do they offer refunds?

Yeah I mean on the race day. I already have my tickets so that isn't a problem. The first warm up is at 8:45am so I assume it's good to arrive for then at least. Think I will set off at around 6 and be there for 8 then! Thanks for the help Very Happy . I have to travel 95 miles of motorway Sad .

getyerkneedown- thanks for that, thought as much but thinking of takeing the slr so thought i'd check anyhow.. yes bike is easy enough to spot Laughing

babyyam- yes might be a bit unwieldy even if ratchet straps were employed.. i still wants it but I'm struggling to find a place it could live, i had got a place but its fallen through, so the other solution involves bricks and a bit more effort

I'll have a blue tshirt with a boat on it or I'll be wearing a natty hein gericke jacket that's falling to bits with a load of keys on it and a purple moose bottle opener Shifty

I know this is weird but is there a band or party or anything like that happening? (private or otherwise)

Have fun all of you. Wish I was going but got to do some family shit after the TT trip. Real shame that Jonothan Rea has had his wildcard entry pulled - I'd have loved to have seen what he could do with a motoGP bike.

I'm thinking about going up Saturday (£25) but I ain't payin £60 for raceday (would be £120 cos my other half wants to go but has no spare cash)

I just want to see if those Ducati's sound better than the WSB ones (cos they sound awsome at the WSB earlier this year)

The forcast is p.m. shower Sat, thick cloud for Sunday Crying or Very sad (at the moment anyway)

The whole weekend is a great big party... there's an amusement park type thing there, a large screen with racing showing, loud music, few stores etc selling all sorts...

If you're camping the evenings are mint.. just total parties.. BBQ's, bonfires, music, singing, beer.. babes... a right laugh!

Highly recommended.

If you arrive at 3pm you should just catch the end of the 125 race...... Embarassed
The motogp race starts at 1.00pm

The weather is forecast to be rainy all weekend so the riders should be well used to the track conditions by sunday.

I expect the traffic will be heavy so you need to know where you're going. Most of the stuff you need to know is on the link below.
https://www.donington-park.co.uk/motogp/Traffic.pdf

I'll be watching it on telly in my caravan about 20 miles away so i'll be nice and dry and depending on wind direction will be able to see what the weather is doing. Very Happy

Last time I camped at the gp at donington was in 1989, I had a whale of a time but I crashed my bike on the campsite pissed and broke my nose. Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed
