Any members of the 125cc Bikers Club about?

Anyone know why they are no longer accepting new members on their site?

Some fairly hefty rumours whizzing about that they have been taking money off people for "support" and then not delivering on what they are supposed to get for their payment, and banning anyone who asked for what they were entitled to........

Would be a shame to see them close over something this sordid as they have always seemed like a good bunch - anyone able to give another side of the story?

I never liked the idea of donating money to them. It's a Hobby site that makes money off advertising as it is, and they don't need my money. It all seemed to be a personal ambition of the site's creator to increase the size of the site and gain more and more money, effectively turning it into a very lucrative business, the legitimacy of which i am unsure about. The attitude of the creator also concerned me in another way. He seemed to be eager for members of the club to attend the same rideouts etc, and there was very little room for open invites for alternative rideouts, etc.

I gained the above opinion pretty quickly, and disassociated myself from the club (although i do still receive the newsletter (always good for a chuckle)). I attended one rideout and that was enough for me. It all seemed a bit of a con.

I joined that site a while ago before I found this one, then I was told I wasn't allowed access to it through my work - even though I can access every other forum without a problem!
Doesn't stop them constantly emailing me with crap though...

One day I'll get around to cancelling everything to do with them, this site is far better though more friendly, more members, more heplful...

Im registered byt havent been on in a while, never gave them money or went on a rideout either
