i had a kawasaki zxr400 and i loved it. Quite nippy and good handling and it also looks the part too.

Plenty of them still available in very good nick and parts are easy to come by.

Make sure its had the camchain replaced if its due and the valve clearences done. These can be costly

There are other 400's out theres like the fzr 400, gsxr 400 and the cbr 400's. Plenty of choice out there with lots of examples for sale at any time. Be fussy and find one thats been looked after, worth paying a bit more for

i ran a honda nc35 rvf 400, its a 400cc V4 engined lean machine, the only problem being the standard rearsets are to prone to scrape, other than that the engines a peach, and it handles like u wouldnt believe, oh and its sounds sweet, bit of a change from all the screaming inline 4's

They have all been pretty much mentioned. Very Happy

I am in a similar postion in that although I havent done my a2 test, Im alreayd planning on a gixxer600/srad,and think u maybe should Wink and skip the 400cc bike midrange secotor, either way its up 2 you.

I particularly like the ZXR400 and as said, seems a great bike. Problem i heard is the gearbox is clonky Confused

RVF400, again totally different engine v4 but great and see if you like the single sided swingarm!

good luck with finding a good 400/600 bike.

forgot to mention, if i get the 600/ u do, dont bother restrictng it, i know its illegal not to, but it kills the engine, better off oging full power 125 33bhp imo otherwise.
