Well after ranting on in my racing thread (in the racing section ) about the absence of photographers snapping pictures of me, a PM was sent my way on another forum containing a link to my first ever professional race picture, yay!
This second photographer had taken a while to upload his photos and being impatient I had given up hope, so thank God the guy sent me the link or I would have missed it forever.
Being my second race meeting and first full day of racing certainly shows.
For some reason I am exactly in line with the bike! It looks unusual.
I kinda wish the photographer had taken the picture through the apex of the corner because I have already started to stand the bike up here for the main straight. But I can't really complain, I wanted a picture and I got one.
I've also done a Sparks! and removed my neck whilst indulging in these motorcycling activities.
Anyway. Just wanted to post it up and perhaps receive advice as to my positioning etc (although this is largely controlled by the stiffness of my leathers. Bloody struggle just to lift my feet on to the pegs, never mind kick starting the sodding thing.) Looking forward to collecting more pictures over the series and (hopefully) see an improvement.

It seems you're guilty of the same problem as me, got to tuck your knee (the one on the outside of the turn) into the bike. I don't do it either.
Theres also leaning of like a monkey and looking like a pillock.
Like so

Like i said, my knee is way off the tank, its something i've got to work on. You're doing great Memento.
kd the YBR Dale, that'll be a laugh, we'll go out when the weather clears up and have a go if you like.
Two things for Shaun, yeha i agree leathers don't make a difference, but bike does, if you feel really cramped up you'll try to spread out more right?

Thanks Shaun, I will try and concentrate on that next time round.
| Shaun wrote: | (don't blame your leathers, I won't have it) |
Reserve my right to blame the leathers, very constricting and stiff. Makes movement very difficult, be that flailing my legs or tucking behind the 'screen'.
| oddkid wrote: | Like i said, my knee is way off the tank, its something i've got to work on. |
So you know it's not easy to stop doing it.

Oh yeah that reminds me, you said you were gonna try and KD your 400 on the road, have you done it yet?
| oddkid wrote: | Two things for Shaun, yeha i agree leathers don't make a difference |
Interesting. Considering the amount of times I've ranted on about the confines of my leathers to you, would have thought you had more an idea of the problem than anyone. Obv not.
Ho hum.
I appreciate the constructive comments, even just thinking about doing it feels much better than what I am currently doing, so I look forward to giving it a go at the next round. Cheers. ____________________ The tiger who came for a pint |

From that top picture, you look straight in the saddle, as if there is very little lean, I know how oddly uncomfortable it can feel at first, but try moving over an inch or three on your seat in the direction of the corner, as you approach it get your knee about a 1/3 of the way in the distance between your bike and the track/"rumble strips" then counter steer so as to help the bike get that little further over, and pull the whole body of the ride over while being generous with the throttle... HTH and is what you were wanting ____________________ Roger wrote: Women don't get damp for clingy puppies. Get some better happy pills, hit the gym & buy a medallion the size of a dinner plate. What are those KR150's like MementoMori?
I've seen some Road versions that look pretty cool

Shame about the law here in the UK, 150's are so much more fun. ____________________ Write off! Yep, i know exactly what you mean Titz
Compared to the Mito even, the NSR150 feels like a bicycle
think these bikes were specificly designed for the eastern market, hence making them quite small and stripping every bit of extra weight from them, Mine is a kick start
But like ya say, when you have close to 40BHP, running under 120KG, the bikes are super fun. handling is so much more responsive then other Race rep 125's in the UK.
Me and my brother were out on the twisties on both the bikes, And me being the more experienced rider, Found it difficult to keep up with him even, only caught him on the bends where he over braked ____________________ Write off!
