You need to stop being such a negative tit.
So is my HJC no good cause I got it on sale for 160 ?
I rate them highly.
Shoei or Arai are not the end all and be all of bike lids.
And no there are things called "accidents".
Oh I'm sorry are you that damn good on 2 wheels you have never had one ?
And straight up f*ck this smiley ____________________ ◙◙► K6 GSXR 600 ◄◙◙◙◙► K5 GSXR 1000 ◄◙◙◙◙► K5 GSXR 600 ◄◙◙◙◙► 96 RF600r ◄◙◙

I was simply making the point that you said your mate "went into a ditch", but didn't really explain if they headbutted a lampost on the way in whilst doing 120mph or slipped off the kerb into the ditch whilst parking their bike, which might have leant strength to your reasoning that the lid "held up fine".
As you didn't feel the need to elaborate, I didn't feel the need to not put the |

Yes, because the magical arai fairies will stop your neck breaking when you headbutt a lampost at 120mph I know for a fact that my decent fitting £80 nitro lid will protect me as well as an arai or whatever, until the point something on me snaps ____________________ NSR 125F > BROS 400 > NC30 > BROS 400 > Trumpet S4 > '97 VFR 750 |

I would have thought this would have been moved to the Pictures section rather than the General Chat but anyway. I've sent you some karma too seeing as you are struggling lol.
I wouldn't worry too much about the negative comments regarding KBC helmets. At the end of the day they have all passed the same test and reached the same standard, maybe some are better than others but unless you have an identical crash with two different helmets opinion is worthless.
The main thing is that it is a good fit, as a loose fitting top of the range Arai would probably be less use in a crash than a snug fitting £30 special.
Myself I like Shoei's, they do everything I want and are a perfect fit on my head. ____________________ Yamaha YZF-R6 |

Hmm well by early next year we will have a star rating 1-5 on how well the lid performs above the ECE tests.
In the 2005 RIDE helmet tests when they carried out impact tests the BMW System 4 came out worse at 8 out of 20 for impact. Shoei Raid 2 was top at 19 out of 20, Arai was 17 out of 20. Dainese lid was 11 out of 20 so do expect to see some differences. Link for PDF here https://www.ridetriangles.com/pdf/643/221609.pdf
I am all for this star rating. Will see what my Arai astro R comes out as and also my Nito 500 lid (Which has my clear visor) comes out as.
BTW Sorry this has gone off topic. Nice lid btw

Have some karma to make you feel better.
I have an Arai Signet GT (for daytime use) and a Suomi Superbike Lanzi rep (clear visor for night-time riding).
TBH, make is unimportant - it's fit and comfort that matters most. ____________________ SV650 - TRASHED
