Before you do all that's recommended above, get some WD40 and liberally spray the HT lead and around where sparkplug meets cylinder head. The water at the moment will more than likely be causing a short...
To fix long term, fill HT Cap with dielectric grease. ____________________ FAB-Racing MiniMotoSidecars - Back with a vengeance - F1 Class 2011...

Hi m8 I had the same problem with my rs125 also.
It cut out when I was going to work and wouldn't start back up.
Checked the plug lead and was fine so I got into more depth.
1. Bought a new spark plug for peace of mind.
2. Cleaned out the spark plug lead and give it a good spraying of gt80.
3. Removed the coil and cleaned all the earthing connections, mine was rusty!!! Again a good blasting of gt.
4. Cleaned my generator up were the metal meets the other metal to create electricity was rusty!!! hence not charging my battery and not producing a nice bright blue spark to make the engine fire up.
5. Cleaned the earthing on the starter motor yet again was rusty and put aload of grease on that to keep it dry.
6. I gave it a rest over night because I had really flooded it out tryin to get it started on a dual carrage way. While it was resting I had the battery on charge.
7. Attached battery and a jumper pack for extra power and ticked over perfectly also noticed it run alot smoother.
The fun you have with scooters and bikes.
let me know if it sorted it out. |
