you have a point on the violence, but they did more than that, it takes a bit of know how and perseverance to move from subsistence hunter gathering to farming, cites, manufacturing, finance, and the whole westernised affluent society

if its handed back to the descendants of the original owners of the land, before they have the skills, it just reverts back as is happening with zimbabwe quite quickly

I was not! I was just being nice to my Boer Brothers and Sisters. I hear they are good guys and one day I may ride with them (although I am not going to pay the slightest bit of attention to any of their rules.
They are good dudes ( for Slopies) IMHO.

Do not judge Africa on the deeds of Mugabwe. He is a madman and has steered my country into madness over 26 years. May that Shona pig rot in hell.

If I recall my history, we (as in the Brits) were instrumental in subjugation of the local populace. Cecil Rhodes, De Beers and the Rand spring to mind.... We did outlaw slavery on paper however causing the Great Treck, but still kept many blacks in pens for mine labour. To knock the white South Africans on race is a little hypocritical therefore...

I still think 'Assassins' is a silly name for a family gang!

We ( The British) also invented the concentration camp and tried to exterminate the Boer population.

...and got wupped by the 5-shot Mauser in the process... we had the Lee Evans or something similar...

The concentration camp policy failed though, as with the families tucked up behind barbed wire, the commandos had one less thing to worry about...

I'd love to ride through South Africa some day, but not with a patch on my back...

I'm wondering how long it'll be before Judas Priest get the lawyers involved as they have quite obviously stolen thier 'colours' from the cover of 'Painkiller'

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.
