Unless you mean military time being "Zulu" which is GMT so at the moment would be -1 hour; all you need to do is wind it forward an hour, I could be mistaken but that's my bit o' wisdom Eh?

Keep it at 24 hour mate.

In 12 hour mode it isn't as easy to tell if it's evening, so you won't know weather to turn your lights on or not.

True, in the summer, 10 o'clock is pretty well the same as 22 o'clock as far as the light is concerned.

Didn't realise the Yanks still call the 24-hour clock 'military time'.

Yeah 24 hour clocks arn't military time, yes they use it for important reasons, but many many people in the non-military world use it! I dont see the problem, i mean you can still read teh time cant you?

Hmm... Maybe you guys dont understand what I am talking about. Instead of that digital thing that sits in front of you going from 0-24, I want it to go from 1-12... Are you still using the sun to tell you what time it is?

Keep it 24hr (most likely you can switch it) as zrx61 pointed out, 13 = 1pm 21=9pm you just take 2 off and then the remaining 10, really not difficult.

It means you get to be condescending to people who can't work out 24 hour clocks in future.

I know it is but the OP appears to be a Yank with his 'Military Time' so I thought I would explain it in his tongue. I also hate all these Americanisms that have got into out language as in . . . Hood (bonnet) Fender (mudguard) etc. (etc.) Embarassed Mr. Green

If it's the end of the day you are referring to, it's 24:00, if it's the beginning of the day, it's 00:00.

there is no 24:00 in the 24 hour clock, it's base24 hence 23:59:59 and then 00:00:00, followed by 00:00:01 etc... Whistle

Oh, yes there is...

Quote:
The notation 24:00 mainly serves to clarify that 00:00 unambiguously marks the midnight associated with the start of a date, but it can also be useful for referring to the exact end of a day in a time interval. A typical usage is giving opening hours ending at midnight, eg "00:00–24:00", "07:00–24:00". Similarly, some railway timetables show 00:00 as departure time and 24:00 as arrival time.

No, just a handy reference. You can look up ISO 8601 in other places, too.

Thanks that's a better resource than Wikipedia...

Quote:
In case an unambiguous representation of time is required, 00:00 is usually the preferred notation for midnight and not 24:00. Digital clocks display 00:00 and not 24:00.
Thumbs Up

It is, isn't it :-

Quote:
As every day both starts and ends with midnight, the two notations 00:00 and 24:00 are available to distinguish the two midnights that can be associated with one date.
