After repairing my broken clutch cable with a push bike brake inner wire, and electrical block connectors for the next few days, I wonder... What is the best/worse bodge-job that has been seen/done? ____________________ Roger wrote: Women don't get damp for clingy puppies. My clocks bracket broke going over some bumps, rang my dad (who happened to be on his way home on the same road) and he just used his shoe laces to tie them back up. Cable tied now and just as good ____________________ Current Bike: '94 RVF 400R

A few years back my dad got a puncture on his Triumph thunderbird sidecar, pulled over, packed the tyre with a tonne grass and was on his way. ____________________ Banned till April 2011. |

Speedfight, Main fuse went by the battery, Bike wont run without a fuse.
Piece of Kit-Kat Foil, Rolled up and bent into a U Shape, and pushed into the two empty fuse box terminals.
Got me home!
Since then Ive had Honda`s, And touch wood, Not had a problem yet.

Needed to get the Coil out without stripping bits off the bike as my hands were to big for the gap, I found a piece of gas pipe ( that goes from the back of a gas fire to the gas tap ) hammered a socket extention peice in the one end and an Allen Key in the other and wha-la coil was out in minutes... ____________________ Previous Bikes...Honda NSR 125 RR...Kawasaki Zephyr 550...Suzuki SV 1000 S...Yamaha FZ8...Current Bike...Suzuki GSX-R 750... |

Hmmm. Only had to bodge something twice, both on my CBR400 (so listen close bingey )
Bodge1: First day of the highland tour my throttle cable snapped during an overtake. Seat off, tank off, airbox off, swap the return cable round, jobs a giddun
Bodge2: Ignition barrell busted, used to peices of metal from a fuse, a cable tie and a peice of insulating tape to hotwire the bike to get it home ____________________ Will work for petrol

Hmmm. Not that much of a bodge but chopped into the side of a relay when the connector block for the starter circuit went on the Divvy (The whole shebang corroded) and replaced the loom end with Bell wire and spade connectors, then sealed the whole lot in waterproof bathroom sealant and gaffa tape..
