you can get the official DSA thoery book. Not sure about price, again try amazon. I used one before my theory. It has all the possible questions they might ask you. Ace the book and you'll ace the test Thumbs Up

I've just bought myself from asda the driving test, PC dvd-rom

It's really good, only cost £7.50
It let's you try out a full theory and hazard preception test.
Letting you choose bike or car questions,
Also get to watch a proper test being done, but sadly in a car.

I recommend getting it.

Ok did the two free practice tests online last night and got 28 and 31 respectivly (sp) out of 35. Very Happy

No revision done and the only things im getting wrong are bike related questions so if I can master those im laughing!!

I think I will do the tests online for a month then put in for my theory.

Do you think this is or good idea or should I put in for it sooner?

G xx

I just had my theory today and passed! Yippee. Laughing

Got 34/35 for the multiple choice and 61/75 for the hazard perception.

This dvd-rom for the PC helped me pass that bloody hazard perception: Driving Test Success: Hazard Perception (2006/07 Edition ) (PC/DVD ROM)

Also, here are a couple more sites to practice the motorcycle multiple choice:
https://www.all4bikers.com/theory/index.php
and
https://www.2pass.co.uk/theorytest.php?test=ukbike

Good luck!

i passed my theory on thursday, after failing the first time with 29/35 and 68/75.

when i passed i got 31/35 and 57/75. Just shows the fluctuation in points from hazard perception.

Your best bet is to buy the DVD's. There great, and you can read through all 811 questions if you wish and it tells you the answers and justifies them.

Yes, they will ask 35 of those 811 questions, on certain topics.

Do some hazard perception to as well, comes in handy, especially if your not one to stop for pedestrians who run across the road infront of you or someone decides to pull out on you etc.

good luck!

The online version is pretty good, thats what i did just took out a month subscription, and kept doing a few tests every night, fly through it in about 10 mins, and then read up on the ones i got wrong. Repeat until im averaging about 32-35 a test.

Got a freebie hazard perception test on dvd if anyone wants it, otherwise its going to be used as a beermat Razz

book yourself in now so youve got something to work towards, dont want to finish practicing then discover you might have to book one weeks away. Razz i just booked it online. and you can choose a slot. you should be averaging higher in a few days. get the hazard perception practice done too, although its pretty random at times and generally a bag of shite. i found the first time i had a go on a mock one i didnt know what the hell was going on... just clicked the screen randomly.

I did my theory after just two prctice goes online. Although I have been driving for some 14 years and i'm a motor mechanic, so I did know a fair bit about the "technical" side of things. But most questions i got on the day were pretty common sense ones. I did get one wrong however. I also got 65 on the hazard perception.

Gmanxiii,

How easy is it to book a theory test online. How do there know which test centre is best for you?

Also what do you need to take when you go to your theory test.

Your Provisonal licence and the paper which came with it.
Passport.

but is there anything else?

Improved to an average of 32/35 on both tests. How consistent.

Booked both theorys today, car and bike.

Can't wait, want to do the full bike test to finally get a reliable 4 stroke. *Dreams*

Its really easy to book online just need a credit/debit card and then choose a test centre and a list of available slots come up.

https://www.dsa.gov.uk/atozttinfo.asp?cat=316 is a listing of test centres just find the one closest to you.

Think thats all you need to take with you if i can remember rightly you'll get a letter in the post to confirm the test date and i think you take that with you too. (letter actually tells you what to take with you).
